The Halloween Safety Glow
Bacci says: safe is a kind of brave. Tap each glow as you and your grown-up do it. Finish any three lists and your Safety Glow key appears.
Reminders to do together, not rules. Your grown-ups, your doctor and your local police department always have the final word.

At KPOT on Glow Night
The restaurant rules that keep the glow fun.
Hot pots and grills are look, don't touch.Grown-ups handle the hot things.
Stay seated, or walk with a grown-up.No running between tables.
Two hands on cups and bowls.Ghosts know about spills.
Phones stay at the table, faces stay private. No photos of other guests.
If something feels wrong, tell your grown-up right away.
Bacci says: that is a glow table. Nicely done.
Costume Check, the Night Before
Try it on, walk around, fix anything that trips or blocks.
I can walk, climb a step and see my feet.No dragging capes or long hems.
Shoes I can really walk in.
I can see all around in my mask, or we use face paint instead.
Something bright or reflective, and a light to carry.Glow sticks, a flashlight, reflective tape.
Props are soft, short and bendy.
A warm layer underneath if the night is cold.
A grown-up's phone number is tucked inside the costume.A phone number, never a home address.
Bacci says: costume ready, glow steady.
Out With Family
For the trick-or-treat walk with your grown-ups.
I stay with my grown-up the whole time.
We walk on sidewalks and cross at corners.Look left, right, left again.
We walk, we do not run, especially across driveways.
We only go to houses with the lights on.
I never go inside a house or a car for a treat.
Treats stay closed until a grown-up checks them at home.
Bacci says: a family that glows together, goes together.
Out With Friends
For older kids whose grown-ups said yes to a group.
My grown-up knows our route and our home time.
We stay in a group. Nobody walks alone.
My phone is charged and my grown-up's number is in it.
We check in at the times we agreed on.
No shortcuts through dark yards, alleys or parking lots.
If someone is hurt or scared, we find a trusted adult. In an emergency, call 911.
Bacci says: good friends look out for each other. That is the glow.
Our Family Plan for the Night
Say each one out loud together. Nothing is typed or saved.
Our meeting spot if we get separated is...
I know a grown-up's phone number by heart.
We go home at...
The grown-up who holds the treats is...
If something feels wrong: say no, walk away, tell a grown-up.
Bacci says: a plan is a glow you make before you need it.
Treat Check
A grown-up checks every treat at home. These nine show up on labels most often.
Milk Eggs Fish Shellfish Tree nuts Peanuts Wheat Soybeans Sesame
We read the label before we eat. When in doubt, we skip it.
Nothing unwrapped, homemade or opened, unless a grown-up says yes.
Little kids get help with small or hard treats.
A teal pumpkin on a porch means non-food treats may be offered there.
If I feel sick or itchy after a treat, I tell a grown-up right away.
Bacci says: checked treats taste better. True fact.
Safety Glow unlocked
Bacci says: you glowed through three lists with your grown-up. Your Glow Map remembers this stop.
